Megan N. Williams is a doctoral candidate in the Psychology department at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Human Behavior and Origins Laboratory. Her research explores how smell affects human social behaviors and decision-making. She examines what information is potentially conveyed via an individual’s body odor and how that information impacts how other’s assess the individual’s mate value. In addition to laboratory experiments with Western populations, Megan also works with with the Hadza, a population of hunter-gatherers living around Lake Eyasi in Northern Tanzania.
